Samuel Pepys' diary was the star attraction as the 350th anniversary of the mention of Chateau Haut-Brion was celebrated in Cambridge yesterday.
			John Abbott is a digital executive based in Durham, UK. He was editor at Decanter from 2011 to 2015, during which time he helped to launch its sister website, DecanterChina.com. 				Five companies excelling in wine tourism were honoured on December 3 at a ceremony held during the Christchurch|South Island Wine and Food Festival. Four of them, Appellation Central Wine Tours, Melton Estate, Northburn Station and Yealands Estate received a Best Of Wine Tourism award from the Great Wine Capitals Global Network while Nelson Wine Art was highly commended for Wine Tourism Services.
				The awards ceremony was held at La Motte Estate on 22 November 2011.

				Château Rochemorin, André Lurton’s property in Martillac, was the venue for the 2012 Bordeaux ‘Best Of Wine Tourism’ award ceremony on October 4. More than 250 members of the Bordeaux wine trade, local and regional authorities and friends attended the ceremony. 74 applicants, over half of them new participants, vied for nominations as finalists. Seventeen finalists competed for the six awards.
