Regine Lee MW is the new Acting Regional Chair for Germany at the 2026 Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA)

Regine Lee MW, managing director at Indigo Wines in the UK, has been appointed Acting Regional Chair for Germany at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2026.
Originally a management consultant, Regine entered the wine trade in 2010 and has since built extensive experience across multiple areas of the industry. She spent several years at the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), where she was instrumental in developing the organisation’s Asia-Pacific markets.
Regine went on to spend over seven years at Liberty Wines, holding a series of roles in trade marketing, education and sales, before becoming Head of Operations. She also gained hands-on winemaking experience at Jordan Wine Estate in Stellenbosch through the Premium Independent Wineries of South Africa’s inaugural Women in Wine vintage programme in 2014.
A passionate advocate for diversity and professional development, Regine is the co-founder of Women in Wine London, a trade networking group that supports women in the industry through events and mentorship.
Regine achieved the Master of Wine title in 2018 and in 2020 was recognised as one of the IWSC/WSET Future 50 Award Winners and nominated for WSET’s Outstanding Alumni Award.
A long-standing DWWA judge, Regine has led various panels as a Senior Judge at Decanter awards. 2026 marks her first year serving as Acting Regional Chair, taking over the role from Caro Maurer MW following her appointment as Resident Co-Chair for DWWA 2026. Regine brings her deep industry knowledge, leadership experience, and international perspective to this new role.
