Rich, ripe. Softer, fuller Isla de Maipo style. Lacks tension of best Alto Maipo styles.

Tough and sinewy. Hard to love: it’s a bit inscrutable. May come round in time – lots here – decent firm tannin, juicy acid, nice dark fruit. Needs to lighten up.

Fill with spices, with hints of menthol and eucaliptus, this is ripe but with enough acidity to keep up the freshness.
