La Sconsolata
Manufacturer:
Andrea Bricarello
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Quite modern style nose. Plum and cinnamon cake. Very appealing but oak disguised some of the potential fruits behind.

Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Fairly deep to deep red. Smoky, tarry nose, a bit stewed and lacking in freshness. Medium-bodied, sleek in texture, and does have fresh acidity, but it lacks some density and weight. Quite long.

Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Smoky oak vanilla and sweet raspberry on the nose and palate. Then long and suave with good fruit and hints of cloves and cinnamon. Lovely bright acidity really extends the flavours at the back. Lovely sweet fruit here.
