Poggio Bonelli

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva
Cedary oak nose, bitter and green. Hard, green soap, not pleasant.

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva
Smells like Penhaligons. Highly perfumed but with meaty undertones, a big wine with fruit, acid and tannin not yet integrated. But with lots of promise (and concentration), attractive dark bitter, herby notes.
Michael Palij
Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva
Simple, developing nose with ripe red fruit and some complexity provided by oak. The fruit is mature and the oak balanced, alcohol and acidity are playing nicely and the finish shows some promise of future development. Balanced and carefully judged.
