A little bistro that has it all: atmosphere, brilliant cocktails and delectable food, all served till 2am. And to top it off, it has a delightful, accessible list of natural French wines, such as the full collection of Courtois de Sologne, Alice and Olivier de Moor’s Bourgogne Aligoté and Hervé Villemade’s Pinot Les Ardilles. All of Paris has been rushing to get in here for the excellent array of drinks and simple yet refined dishes prepared by the mother of one of the two young owners. The atmosphere is intimate – unavoidable given the bistro’s size – but for a true feel of vintage Paris, sit at the counter under the ceiling fan. A superb choice if you’re on a budget.
