Bordeaux 2024: ‘Marvellous’ Mouton cuts price by a quarter

Château Mouton Rothschild has revealed the price for its 2024 wine en primeur, with a big cut that makes it the cheapest vintage available.

The Pauillac estate is the second first growth to have been released so far this campaign, following Lafite Rothschild at the end of April.

Its new price makes it the cheapest since the release of the 2014 vintage and represents a price cut of 25% on last year’s 2023 offer. Consultancy group Wine Lister called it ‘a well-judged release’.

Also released was Mouton’s stable of other labels including Château d’Armailhac and Château Clerc Milon.
